Memmingen Airport: Supervisory Bodies Focus on Continuity and New Initiatives for the Future
The supervisory bodies at Memmingen Airport are also preparing for the company’s future, focusing on both continuity and new initiatives. As a result, the chairmanship of the Supervisory Board of Flughafen Memmingen GmbH and the Advisory Board of Allgäu Airport GmbH & Co. KG remains in trusted hands. New members are also joining both bodies.
Dr. Hans Reichhart continues to serve as chairman, with Dr. Albert W. Schultz as his deputy, leading both the Supervisory Board and the Advisory Board.
Memmingen-based entrepreneur Patricia Bumann-Kolb has now been appointed as a new member of both bodies. As the daughter of founding partner Alwin Kolb, Patricia Bumann-Kolb is joining both bodies. Like Dr. Albert W. Schultz, she represents the next generation of the airport’s founding fathers.
Also new to the Supervisory Board is Ulm-based entrepreneur Dr. Jan Stefan Roell. Until 2021, he served as managing partner and CEO of the machinery manufacturer Zwick Roell in Ulm; since then, he has served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board. He is also President of the Baden-Württemberg Association of Chambers of Industry and Commerce.
Michael Schilling is making a comeback on the Advisory Board; as a former member of the Executive Board at Dachser in Kempten, he was once one of the airport’s founding fathers.
On the Supervisory Board and Advisory Board, in addition to Chairman Dr. Hans Reichhart and Vice Chairman Dr. Albert W. Schultz, long-standing members Bettina Kurrle, Stefan Hohm, Gerhard Pfeifer, and Klaus Fischer were confirmed in their positions. “With these individuals, we are strengthening our expertise and positioning ourselves to become Germany’s leading low-cost airport,” emphasizes Dr. Hans Reichhart.
The expansion of the airport grounds and infrastructure, with the assistance of the Advisory Board of Allgäu Airport GmbH & Co. KG, is intended to help further professionalize the airport and support it on its successful growth path.
The Supervisory Board of Flughafen Memmingen GmbH also sees the focus of its work in maintaining and further developing operations with the goal of becoming Germany’s leading low-cost airport. In this way, the company’s organization will also be able to meet future challenges. “The managing directors and governing bodies should,” as Dr. Albert W. Schultz puts it, “work together in close collaboration to ensure future-proof, sustainable, and safe airport operations.”
