More Mallorca – from Memmingen: Today, Saturday (14 May), Eurowings launched its new flight connection from the Allgäu to the Balearic island. And, as befits any new connection, with a water salute by the airport fire brigade.
Non-stop to Mallorca – which also means non-stop beach, biking or hiking. The Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings now flies three times a week from Memmingen to the Germans’ favourite holiday island – on Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. “Eurowings is another important partner for our airport,” emphasises Airport Sales Manager, Marcel Schütz. “We are very delighted by this vote of confidence from Germany’s largest airline group.” With their commitment, the number of weekly Mallorca flights from Memmingen will increase to up to 12. The demand for holidays is generally very strong, explains Schütz. This was already the case during the Easter holidays, and an even greater volume of passengers is expected for Whitsun. Traditionally, the first landing of the Eurowings aircraft was greeted by the Memmingen Airport fire brigade with a water salute.
