Memmingen Airport offers its passengers and visitors numerous services. Here you will find an overview of free WLAN, daily newspapers, cash machines and play facilities for our younger passengers.
Lockers are available opposite the terminal building at Memmingen Airport. They come in various sizes and can be rented for one or more days. Payment can only be made by credit card.
Memmingen Airport offers its passengers a free newspaper service after the security check and in the arrivals area. The daily newspapers “Allgäuer Zeitungsverlag” and the “Südwestpresse” are available there every day.
Have you lost or found something at the airport?
At the information desk located in the Airport Service Center, you can find out whether a lost item has been handed in, or you can report the loss or discovery of an item.
Please note that the Lost Property Office in the Arrivals Hall is responsible for checked baggage and items left on board aircraft. Any claims are void once you leave the arrivals hall.
Items lost on the aircraft will be stored for a maximum of 14 days.
Any items or baggage deliberately left behind at the gate will be destroyed.

Passengers travelling to the airport in an electric car can charge their vehicle at a charging station. The e-charging station with covered charging points is located in the immediate vicinity of the terminal. Parking is free of charge during the charging process. The charging stations are equipped with a telephone fault hotline that offers round-the-clock help with charging problems. As these are fast-charging stations; the vehicles can be charged before departure or on return in a short time. During your absence, the vehicles must be parked in one of the car parks.
There is a Sparkasse cash machine in the public area of the terminal.
If you are resident outside the EU, you can have a proportion of the VAT you have paid refunded. All forms with a customs stamp that is not older than four years will be processed. You can put the Global Blue forms in the letterbox at check-in counter 1.
Smoking is only permitted in designated areas. In the security area, you can smoke in the beer garden or in the smoking cabin at Gate 1. After passport control, there is a smoking cabin available.
To make the time before departure as enjoyable as possible for young passengers, Memmingen Airport has a children’s playground designed by Cucumaz, a specialist playground company based in the Allgäu region. This lovingly designed wooden structure offers plenty of fun and variety. Children can play on the adventure playground to the east of the terminal building, regardless of whether they have a ticket.
In the non-Schengen area, young passengers can enjoy the Ravensburger Spieleland play area. This area offers children the opportunity to have fun before departure. Inspired by popular Ravensburger games, it features interactive games and puzzles. It’s a great way to pass the time while waiting.
Free Wi-Fi is available to all visitors and passengers in the terminal at Memmingen Airport. This means that you can surf the internet for free and without any time restrictions. Memmingen Airport is the first regional airport in Germany to offer this service in collaboration with smartONE.
The service is available in the public area of the terminal, as well as in the waiting area after security.
BayernWLAN, an initiative of the Bavarian State Office for Digitalisation, Broadband and Surveying, also provides complimentary internet access at Memmingen Airport.
It can be used with any internet-enabled device, including smartphones, tablets and laptops. No registration is necessary. Simply select the ‘FREE smartONE WIFI’ or ‘@BayernWLAN’ Wi-Fi network and you’re ready to go!

Customs monitors the cross-border movement of goods.
