The award, presented by the International Association for Sustainable Aviation (IASA) e.V., confirms the successful endeavours towards delivering greater sustainability on the basis of a comprehensive audit carried out by neutral auditors.

Memmingen Airport was once again awarded the seal of quality during the recertification process, recognising Memmingen Airport’s efforts to protect the environment, maintain good neighbourly relations with local residents and the economic benefits for the region.

In 2023, Memmingen Airport once again obtained certification under the ACA program. Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) is a recognized certification standard for airport carbon management and follows the principles of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.

For the 2024 certification, Level 2 accreditation was achieved; this entails creating a mapping and a CO2 management plan, as well as demonstrating an emissions reduction compared to the average of the last three years.

The renewed Level 2 certification in 2025 recognizes our efforts to reduce the carbon footprint at Memmingen Airport.
