Anyone who has noticed one of the eye-catching donation boxes at Memmingen Airport in recent weeks may have spontaneously donated a few coins or notes – and made a big difference. Every donation, no matter how small, supports important social projects in the region.
The donation box for the Regens-Wagner-Förderstiftung (Regens-Wagner Foundation) was set up at Memmingen Airport about a year ago to give travellers an easy way of donating surplus cash. The response has been overwhelming. A large box was collected with various types of money from different countries, which went directly to projects such as the purchase of a table tennis table for the Regens-Wagner Foundation in Lautrach.
A big THANK YOU to all the donors,” said Christian Konrad (Managing Director of the Regens-Wagner Foundation Lautrach). Your donation really makes a difference – and it’s easy to do when you’re passing by.
The donation boxes are clearly visible in the departure and arrival areas of the airport. They are regularly emptied and the donations are put to good use.
Memmingen Airport plans to continue and expand the project in the future. So next time you are at the airport, drop some change, do some good – and take off with a smile on your face!
