Memmingen Airport Expands Its Dining Options

Memmingen Airport isn’t just a place to take off—it’s also a spot where you can enjoy some truly spot-on dining and drinking experiences. The airport has significantly expanded its dining options and is working on even more new offerings.

There are now ten dining establishments with a total of about 350 seats available to passengers in Memmingen—whether before or after security screening. The offerings range from coffee bars to restaurants and food trucks. New to the lineup is Vibes, located in the terminal’s entrance area. For those with a hearty appetite, the menu features pizza and burgers, as well as snacks and bowls for a quick bite. The newly opened restaurant features a clean, minimalist design and a color scheme inspired by the sea. It is operated by the AtmaX Group, which is active at six transportation hubs in southern Germany.

“A diverse and high-quality selection of dining options is also part of the overall airport experience,” explains Andreas Loritz, who, as Director of Non-Aviation, is responsible for this area. Four requests for proposals are currently underway for existing establishments whose current contracts are set to expire soon. In addition, another snack bar is set to open soon in the non-Schengen area, which is currently under construction. The beer garden at the Coffee Fellows Bar in the security screening area is also very popular. “Our offerings are as international as our passengers,” says Andreas Loritz.
