Hans Reichhart elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Günzburg district administrator now heads airport board

Change of guard at Flughafen Memmingen GmbH: at its most recent meeting, the Supervisory Board elected Günzburg District Administrator Dr Hans Reichhart (42) as its new Chairman.

The former Bavarian Minister for Housing, Construction and Transport, who has been District Administrator of Günzburg since May 2020, has also served as deputy chairman of the board since 2020, which had been chaired by Memmingen entrepreneur Gerhard Pfeiffer, one of the founding fathers of the airport, since September 2021. As a proven transport expert, the members of the Supervisory Board agreed that CSU politician Reichhart would competently manage the fate of the board. ‘Even though Memmingen Airport has long been on the road to success, there is still a lot to do, especially to adapt the infrastructure to the rapid growth,’ emphasised Reichhart, who explicitly thanked his predecessor for his commitment. The board elected Memmingen entrepreneur Dr Albert Schultz, whose father Wolfgang E. Schultz made a significant contribution to the founding of Germany’s leading low-cost airport, as the new deputy chairman.
