Non-stop to Craiova

Only from Memmingen: Non-stop to Craiova

Wizz Air launches new route and increases flights to Tuzla

Memmingen Airport will soon be the only airport in southern Germany with a direct connection to Craiova. From 1 June, Wizz Air will fly four times a week to the Romanian city. With a population of around 230,000, Craiova is the largest city in the historic region of Little Wallachia in south-western Romania. The university city is located about 225 kilometres west of Bucharest. Non-stop flights to the new destination will be offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1 June next year. It will be the seventh city in Romania to be directly connected to Memmingen. “Our expertise in Eastern Europe is now second to none and we are further consolidating our role as the leading low-cost airport in Southern Germany,” says Airport Sales Manager Marcel Schütz. “With almost 30 destinations in these countries, we are extremely popular with passengers from all over Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

The ever-increasing demand is also prompting the airlines to respond. From June next year, Wizz Air will significantly increase its flights from Memmingen to Tuzla in Bosnia-Herzegovina, offering daily flights on this popular and in-demand route. The new connection to Budapest will debut on 17 December. Wizz Air will fly four times a week from Memmingen to the Hungarian capital.
