Rome celebrates a comeback: Wizz Air is set to fly to the Eternal City from September

Rome is back! From September, Memmingen Airport will once again be connected to the Italian capital. This is made possible by a new route that Wizz Air will be opening. On 5 September, passengers will see: the Eternal City will feel that bit closer to Germany’s Allgäu. The airline Wizz Air will then be flying non-stop to Fiumicino Airport twice a week – on Tuesday and Saturday – and tickets are already available. “We are delighted that Rome is back on our flight schedule,” emphasises Airport Sales Manager, Marcel Schütz. Even in the early years of Memmingen Airport, the Italian capital was one of the most popular destinations. After all, the metropolis is a perennial tourist favourite. For some time now, the airline Wizz Air, which to date has mainly served destinations in Eastern Europe from Memmingen, has been expanding its activities in Italy. It has also been connecting Memmingen with Catania in Sicily for some time now. There are also Palermo, Naples, Brindisi, Pisa and Lamezia Terme, all of which are served by Ryanair. This means that Memmingen Airport will have an attractive Italian offer next summer.
