We are an entrepreneurial airport with the aim of promoting economic strength in the region and cultural exchange. We always ensure safe and reliable flight operations.

The sustainability award for Memmingen airport, presented by the International Association for Sustainable Aviation (IASA) e.V., confirms the successful efforts towards more sustainability on the basis of a comprehensive test carried out by neutral auditors.

Climate neutrality is our top priority. 0 percent CO² by 2030 by reducing to a minimum and offsetting the remaining CO² emissions through climate protection measures!


Our passengers have various options for their own “flight compensation”:

  • International: There are various non-profit organizations to choose from, such as the myclimate foundation or atmosfair. Every contribution benefits an international climate protection project.
  • Passengers booking a flight with Ryanair can choose at the end of the booking process to voluntarily pay compensation.

We treat natural resources carefully and carefully. Sensitivity and expertise are required in the areas of water protection, waste, aircraft noise, energy, emissions and bird strikes.
